Preparing atlas-vm for the ATLAS of the Americas 2008 Tutorial

WARNING: This page is obsolete.

If you have atlas-vm 1.05, you are ready for the tutorial. However, if you have an older version, you can install the relevant Athena software to get it ready.

The steps are as follows; some of these may already be in your VM. First, login as atlasadmin and then

Install Athena 14.1.0

installSW.sh  --name=Athena --platform=i686 --version=AtlasProduction_14_1_0_i686_slc4_gcc34_opt  --mirror=http://pacman.atlas-canada.ca/ATLAS.mirror --installPath=Kits_SL4/14.1.0

Install Athena 14.1.0.3 AtlasProduction cache

installSW.sh --name=Athena --platform=i686 --version=AtlasProduction_14_1_0_3_i686_slc4_gcc34_opt  --mirror=http://cern.ch/atlas-computing/links/kitsDirectory/Production/cache --installPath=Kits_SL4/14.1.0 --baseRelPath=installPath

Install Vancouver-14.1.0.3 group area

$ATLAS_LOCAL_ROOT_BASE/utilities/installSW.sh --name=Athena --platform=i686 --version=Vancouver-14.1.0.3.pacman --mirror=http://atlas-computing.web.cern.ch/atlas-computing/links/kitsDirectory/PAT/EventView --installPath=GroupArea/Vancouver-14.1.0.3
cd $ATLAS_LOCAL_ROOT/Athena/GroupArea/Vancouver-14.1.0.3
ln -s . 14.1.0.3
