• No ADC Technical Coordination Meeting this week
• ADC Weekly Meeting [20161004]
  • MC Production
    • Grid full this week, but data reprocessing took fair amount of slots from Sep 29 (problem with pilot proxies on that day)
    • Looking at ways to reduce disk space usage in production
    • Current submitted (~54M) should be done soon - need to use some backfill to ensure keep grid busy
  • Group Derivation Production
    • AthenaMP validation has not revealed any show stoppers
      • However, merging issues are resulting in 50% cpu/wall efficiency
      • Playing with parameters. Latest test looks promising
        • nFilesPerMergeJob=1, outputRatio=16, athenaMPMergeTargetSize = "DAOD *:0"
    • Next cache to be built this week (20.7.7.9) - some important group updates
    • Been looking at the sizes of each of the formats based on open-ended production for the post-machine development data - look at worst cases and see what can be done to reduce size
    • Production picked up in the last couple of days (40k job slots)
