- ADC and ATLAS Computing News [20131203]
- ADC Weekly meeting
- AMOD Report
- ATLARC DB was down on Thursday
- SLS DB monitoring was down
- Friday morning pandasrv proxy failure (corrupted)
- MC Production Plans
- Lack of new requests so slots not filled. Phyics Coordination is aware of this
- Waiting for physics validation to submit 130M digi+reco events (MC11d). Expect to be ready in ~ week
- 4.1TB of pileup samples needed (already at T1s). Question of whether to distribute to some bigger T2Ds as well (20 days)
- Plan to do more multi core queue commissioning now with MC12 simulation, to be prepared for DC14
- Expect validation of DC14 8 TeV configuration before Christmas → submit DC14 8TeV performance samples before Christmas
- Data Processing Plans
- Test global (data) conditions tag - now
- 2012 physics DESDM_RPVLL reprocessing
- Requested by SUSY+Exotics and JetTauEtMiss
- Reprocess all 2012 data in Egamma, Muons, JetTauEtmiss streams
- Apply event selection ~2%, output: DESD files
- Start slice test ~this week
- DC14
- Release 19.0.2 scheduled to be fully validated mid-March
- Bulk reprocessing mid-April?
- Group Production Plans
- Running ~few k per day
- Plan to launch NTUP_COMMON version2 production on data12/mc12 before Xmas
- Freeze ~now, validate Dec 12, Launch Dec 16
- No large scale production planned during Xmas
- Train production implementation is still evolving, no timescale yet for any large scale production. Working on initial production system tests before Xmas
- WLCG Availability/Reliability with SAM tests
- Services
- Availability = UP period/(Total period - UNKNOWN period)
- Reliability = UP period/(Total period - UNKNOWN period - Scheduled downtimes)
- Sites
- Availability = [(OR of CE services) AND SRM services availabilities]/(Total period - UNKNOWN period)
- Reliability = [(OR of CE services) AND SRM services reliabilities]/(Total period - UNKNOWN period - Scheduled downtimes)
- Tests deployed in SAM framework, run by Nagios
- The availability and reliability computations are based on ATLAS_CRITICAL profile outcome
- CE tests: Jobs submitted through WMS, frequency ~1h
- DN: /DC=ch/DC=cern/OU=Organic Units/OU=users/CN=ddmadmin/CN=531497/CN=Robot: ATLAS Data Management with attribute: /atlas/Role=lcgadmin
- CE JobSubmit: tests all the stages of job submission to properly work
- WN-swspace: checks that the SW area (by now CVMFS) is accessible from the WN
- SRM tests: Frequency ~15 mins
- Same DN but attribute: /atlas/Role=production
- VOPut, VOGet, VODel
- loop over space tokens and perform elemental I/O operations
- tokens: ATLASDATADISK, ATLASSCRATCHDISK, ATLASGROUPDISK, ATLASLOCALGROUPDISK
- ATLASDATADISK is the critical space token: if it fails the service is in CRITICAL, otherwise OK
- More information in the slides on interaction with GOCDB and AGIS
- Monitoring: SUM pages on dashboard
- Twiki: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/viewauth/AtlasComputing/ATLASSAMTests
- Mail: atlas-adc-sam@cern.ch
- EGI Question on number of users of robot proxies, in particular those without a personal X509 certificate
- ATLAS to report back
- Might be some accounting built into APEL?

SSB Results
- Critical tests for each site in the Site Status dashBoard are available at the links below
SSB PanDA Test Queue Availability (month)
- this metric, measured for the analysis queues, defines the site status for data preplacement as alpha (
T2D and avail > 90%), bravo (T2 and avail > 90%) or charlie (< 90%).
