• ADC and ATLAS Computing News [20130219]
  • ADC Weekly meeting
  • LS1 started Feb 15.
  • Disk at some T1s getting very low
    • CNAF, FZK, NIKHEF out of T0 export most of the week
    • Will work on cleanups
    • Some discussion of what datasets should be at T1s and longevity. About 3.5PB in default replicas on DATADISK.
  • Reprocessing campaigns coming soon
    • Collecting information
    • B-physics delayed stream and then Hadronic delayed stream
    • roughly 800M events ~ 500 TB RAW, AOD ~200 kB/event == ~ 80TB - 90TB, TAG ~ 120 GB, HIST ~ 700 GB
    • no more than about 25% of the Tier1 CPU to go into this processing (~ 1 month)
  • 2011 pp 2.76 TeV data
    • ~ 20M events, rather small sample (less than 1 day needed on Tier1)
    • first reprocess the Express Stream as a validation and then proceed with the "bulk" (2-4 weeks)
  • AMOD
    • Some drop offs in production jobs last week for many clouds
    • Sun pm: Source errors in transfers from TRIUMF-LCG2 and other CA sites. FTS cannot contact non-CA FTS servers. Resolved Mon pm. GGUS:91588
    • Some FTS congestion issues during the week to T2s (especially DE cloud)
