Install / Update DQ2 Client
WARNING: This page is obsolete.
Installation
You will need to see which version of the DQ2Client is available; you can do this a follows:
The easiest is to just look at the
release notes
; but here is another way to see what is in the repository:
mkdir -p /atlas/ATLASLocalRootBase/i686/DQ2Client
cd /atlas/ATLASLocalRootBase/i686/DQ2Client
mkdir workarea
cd workarea
pacman -d version -lc http://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/DATABASE/project/ddm/releases/pacman/cache
Suppose the above shows the latest version to be 0.1.3; then you can install this as follows:
cd /atlas/ATLASLocalRootBase/i686/DQ2Client
mkdir 0.1.3
cd 0.1.3
yes | pacman -get "http://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/DATABASE/project/ddm/releases/pacman/cache:DQ2Clients | version('0.1.3')"
ln -s 0.1.3 current (after testing !)
Note that this version of DQ2Client includes the enduser tools but syntax (dq2-ls instead of dq2_ls, etc) options are changed (type --help to see them.)
ATLASLocalRootBase users
If you have installed
ATLASLocalRootBase, you can let
manageTier3SW maintain the software for you. Otherwise if you want a particular version installed, you can type for example,
$ATLAS_LOCAL_ROOT_BASE/utilities/installSW.sh --name=DQ2Client --platform=i686 --version=0.1.9 --makeDefault
