(Obsolete) DQ2 Client Tarball Installation

WARNING: This page is obsolete.

In most cases, users will only need the DQ2 enduser tools which are described above. To install the DQ2 client, please see this reference. Since there are no yum installations at the moment, my preference is to install the tarballs. To install, do

  cd /atlas/ATLASLocalRootBase/i686/DQ2Client
  mkdir DQ2Client_`date +%Y%m%d-%H%M`  
  cd DQ2Client_YYYYMMDD (ie, the timestamp)
  wget http://atlas.web.cern.ch/Atlas/GROUPS/DATABASE/project/ddm/releases/dq2.download/downloadDQ2StableClient.py
  python downloadDQ2StableClient.py
  ln -s DQ2Client_YYYYMMDD current  (after testing)
