Production Software Releases

WARNING: This page is obsolete.

ATLAS requires that all Tier 1 and Tier 2 facilities reserve 100 GB to host ATLAS production software. There is an official list of required releases, and a list of releases that are optional for CEs. All other releases are obsolete/deprecated. The production releases are installed primarily in two areas:

$VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/software/x.x.x (eg., 12.0.8)

and

$VO_ATLAS_SW_DIR/prod/releases/rel_# (eg. rel_12-3_0)

Release Numbers

The official list of current and obsolete releases is very useful for figuring out whether your favourite release is about to disappear for good from the GRID. This page has links to other software release planning pages.

You can find out which are the current ATLAS releases installed at your favourite site from the web interface to the Installation system, or by using your web browser's "find" command to search in this list (hint: try lower case, e.g. "triumf", not "TRIUMF").
